Since you have settlled into your Gilbert home it's time to have a party, or at least a get-together with your nearest and dearest friends. You may be on a calculated money plan after moving and closing costs. Luckily, casual is a notorious theme.

When you estimate how big your gathering is going to be, you can mail or hand deliver invitations. These can range from special made invitations to ones printed out on a computer with heavy cardstock. Be sure to have your guests RSVP. In the days prior to the party, your house has to be cleaned up. Clean both the outside along with the inside and make sure you have stocked the toiletries in the restroom.

You might want to steer clear of a sit-down dinner if this is one of your first parties. A mixture of hors d'oeuvres are a good idea and be sure you have a few vegetarian choices. If you are planning on serving alcohol, name yourself as bartender, and make sure your guests do not over drink. Show your guests where where the food and restrooms are located and take their coats or purses, when they arrive. Mingle and make sure everyone is having a wonderful time.

When you have enough practice, your Gilbert home might be the talk of the town. After all, practice makes perfect..

A new trend in design is spreading throughout the country. Some residents are going to a taxidermist for ideas on how to furnish their Gilbert home . Boutiques and high-end department stores have started selling stuffed animals. Taxidermy decor is all over the place, from black crows and pheasants to deer and bobcats.

Some individuals feel that using stuffed animals gives modern, cold interiors a bit of warmth. While some love the look of a deer head mounted above the mantle, many think it's a bit disturbing. There is no way to know how long this taxidermy chic look will go on so it is best to get your tiger while you can.

When dealing with the style of Gilbert homes , the times they are-a-changing. Ever since 1970, the greatest change is the amount of square footage. In 1973, the average home was 1,600 square feet, a new home today has expanded to 2,400. Bathrooms have moved from less than two per home, to at least two.

From a mere 9x10 to a giant 285 square feet, kitchens have experienced an increase in size as well. Many kitchens have seen the addition of islands, breakfast bars, and nooks. An old-fashioned living room is a feature of the past. Families today assemble around the flat screen TV instead. A complete laundry room is almost necessary and many garages hold more than two cars. As four bedrooms are becomming the norm, children are probably not going to share a room. Keep posted, Gilbert real estate is going to adapt to the times.

An increase in outside living space is the chief addition in Gilbert home remodels. The American Institute of Architects reported that the demand for patios, decks, and outdoor kitchens jumped from 47 percent to 64 percent. Pools, tennis courts, and gazebos also ranked high as add-ons.

Single-story homes with open floor plans are what so many consumers are leaning towards. Baby boomers, now reaching retirement age, need easier mobility with expanded hallways and not as many steps. Open homes with less boundaries are what younger homebuyers would like. Will you be adding a new deck to your Gilbert home any time soon?
